Tenille Smith

Tenille is an Associate with a growing practice in litigation and dispute resolution. She is passionate about helping people navigate complex legal issues and enjoys the challenge of finding practical solutions to difficult problems.

Her practice encompasses debt recovery and a broad range of civil and commercial disputes, including matters involving contracts, property and business law. She also regularly advises clients on defamation, Australian Consumer Law and administrative review matters.

Holding a combined degree in Law and Business, Tenille brings a commercial perspective to her legal advice. She understands that successful outcomes often require consideration of both the legal issues and the broader commercial objectives of her clients.

Tenille advises individuals and businesses throughout Townsville and the wider North Queensland region and particularly enjoys working with organisations across a diverse range of industries

Prior to being admitted as a solicitor in 2023, Tenille began her career in the legal industry in 2018 – holding a volunteer role with the North Queensland Women’s Legal Service and then working as a legal assistant to a local barrister. In these positions, she developed a keen attention to detail, effective communication skills and a client-focused approach.

Known for her personable and approachable nature, Tenille is committed to building trusted relationships with her clients. She provides clear, practical advice and works collaboratively to help clients achieve commercially sensible outcomes.

Outside of the office, Tenille is a proud Townsville local who enjoys exploring the region's restaurant scene, staying active with walks and time at the beach, and attending metropolitan race days on the weekends.
