Michelle is the Partner of our Workplace Relations Law workgroup and Managing Partner of the Firm.
She holds a Bachelor of Laws (with Honours) degree and is a local to the Townsville legal profession.
Michelle is the Deputy Chair of the Townsville Hospital and Health Service and holds various other board/committee positions within the community.
Practising in all areas of workplace relations law and injury claims, Michelle advises and represents her clients’ interests including:
- Unfair dismissals / general protection claims
- Contract documentation
- Development and implementation / training policies and procedures
- Work health and safety advice including advice to employers on Workcover claims and processes
- Discrimination and bullying claims
- Restraint of trade claims / defences
- Workcover claims
- Motor accident claims
Experience
Michelle has been working as a workplace relations/personal injuries lawyer for nearly 30 years and has extensive experience in appearing in mediations and appearing in the Fair Work Commission, Federal Circuit and various courts and tribunals with respect to claims relating to workplace law/personal injuries.
She is a Queensland Law Society Accredited Specialist in Workplace Relations and Personal Injuries.
Michelle is an experienced HR practitioner and uses her wealth of practical knowledge and business experience to assist her clients with their legal issues by providing a clear and concise pathway to properly address workplace issues and compliance requirements.
