Chris is a skilled personal injury and family lawyer who guides his clients though challenging personal situations – helping them achieve the best possible outcomes with care and legal expertise.
In personal injury law, Chris has developed specialist expertise in psychological injury workers’ compensation claims. He regularly advises on matters involving post-traumatic stress disorder, anxiety, and depression. Having successfully handled multiple claims in this area, Chris understands the complexities and sensitivities of these often-misunderstood injuries.
Beyond this specialist expertise, Chris also advises clients on workers’ compensation, motor vehicle accident claims, and public liability matters, as well as claims involving death and dependency.
In family law, Chris helps couples and families navigate the separation of property assets during what is often an extremely difficult time. He works to achieve fair and practical outcomes, regularly preparing property orders and Binding Financial Agreements. Chris is also experienced in handling parenting matters, divorce applications, and matters involving domestic and family violence.
Prior to completing a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) in 2016, Chris built a successful 15-year career in the hospitality industry, including as General Manager of a popular restaurant chain. This experience helped him develop communication, customer service, and leadership skills, which continue to define his approachable and client-focused style today. Chris is known for his compassion, ability to de-escalate tense situations, and commitment to achieving results.
Chris is actively involved in the legal profession, holding memberships with the Family Law Practitioners Association of Queensland, Townsville District Law Association, North Queensland Law Association, and Family Law Pathways Network. He regularly engages with his professional network to stay ahead of the latest developments in personal injury and family law.
An active member of the Townsville community, Chris holds board and committee positions for Townsville Chamber of Commerce and Estates Soccer Club respectively.
More personally, Chris is committed to investing in the community and provides pro-bono legal support for Townsville Community Law and the Community Gro Legal Clinic.
